AZ in November

Corbin had some more time off from work, so we decided to head to AZ to hang out with family! We had a great time and loved spending time together. We went to see Breaking Dawn opening night!
Landen loved playing with his cousins. And we got to enjoy a nice extensive puppet show!
We even got to go to the zoo and pet the animals!

More quality family time. Don't you love how excited Landen is??
Turtle time

This was the first year Landen actually knew who everyone was and he really LOVED being with his "new friends." I keep telling Landen these are friends you will have forever because they are your cousins!
We were so sad to leave! Especially Landen! Can't you tell??
So glad we got to see everyone!

Seeing is Believing

This is the first year Landen was actually excited about seeing Santa! He knew exactly what he wanted to tell him. That his name was Landen, he is two and he wanted a Buzz Lightyear. It was so cute.

Landen wasn't too sure at first, but Santa and Landen talked about the puppy.

Then Landen went in for the hug because he said "Santa's nice!" But Landen did not want to sit on his lap. I'm just glad I got a picture of them hugging!

A trip to see Santa wouldn't be complete without a ride on the carousal!
On the way home Landen kept talking about Santa and how he wanted to go to the North Pole. Some days I wouldn't mind:)

Good Morning

Yummy pancakes were for breakfast this morning and Landen did the cooking! He did a great job!
(Buzz helped too)

BFF's

I had to post a few pictures of Landen and his NC BFF Evan! Landen had his first movie date and saw Puss and Boots. They were so cute together.
They always want to be together and ask for eachother when they aren't together.
Landen and Evan are best of friends!

New Hobby

Last month when I went to Wisconsin to visit my friend Jamie, I wanted her to teach me how to knit. She is a wonderful knitter and I couldn't think of someone better to teach me. I was so excited about learning! With Landen getting older, I find myself having a lot more free time, which I enjoy immensely! But I wanted to use my free time wisely, so why not learn a new talent:) Here is my finished project! A hat!! I am very proud of myself!

I've enjoyed learning something new...can't wait to start on my next project!

Carving Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins is not my favorite thing to do, but I figured Landen is at the age that he likes that kind of stuff. He loves to help. When we cut out the eyes and nose, Landen kept putting them back in. He thought it was a puzzle. He did not want to help clean out all the seeds. He would say "Eww." Just like daddy...he doesn't like to get his hands dirty.

Happy Halloween!! We threw our pumpkin friends in the trash today. The little one was making my kitchen smell.

Happy Halloween

This was the first year that Landen actually had an idea that Halloween=candy. He practiced all morning saying "trick or treat." It was so cute to hear him say it. We went up to our neighbor's door and held Landen held out his bag and look at me and said "treat for Landen!" Little did he know he wasn't going to eat all of it:)

He was Woody and at first he didn't want to put on his costume. I thought all kids loved to dress up! I had to practically force him into it, but then when it was on he was excited to look like Woody.

I'm so glad we were able to trick or treat, because last week Landen was so sick! He was a trooper and back to his old self again.

The next day he wanted to pour out all his candy and look at it. His favorites are the lollie pops and m&m's. Such a fun night! Now it's time to look forward to Thanksgiving!

Red

I painted my nails today and Landen wanted to "paint too" on the paper with the nail polish. Wasn't about to let that happen, but then he wanted me to paint his nails. It was so funny to see him so excited about it. Thank goodness Corbin was on call because I'm not sure if he would be too thrilled about it!

Wisconsin

Since moving away from all my friends in Oklahoma, I've had a hard time adjusting and I feel like I'm still adjusting, but it's getting easier and easier. I was feeling a little homesick for my friends so I decided to surprise the Nackos family and visit them in Wisconsin before the weather hits -20 degrees! Jamie knew, but the rest of the family didn't! It was so much fun to see the looks on their faces, especially Jeff. He wouldn't stop hugging me! He said it was Christmas in October. It was the best.

Landen with Josie and Jeff. Now that we are home he is still talking about the dog. I wonder if he wants one:)

We had the best time together and I didn't want the trip to end. Landen's best friends Jenn and Charlie playing Wii. Landen thinks he's playing by holding a numb chuck.

They took us to some beautiful places, like an apple orchard where I picked an apple from a tree for the first time! I was excited (I had to get a picture. Silly I know).

Wisconsin is such a beautiful place and to be honest I would have never thought so! The colors were amazing and the weather was perfect.

They took us to a Children's museum and the capital in downtown Madison. Really spectacular.

Cheese Heads!

They also took us to Hubbard Ave Diner where "Drive in Diners and Dives" on Food Network visited because they are know for their pies. It was fantastic!

It was so wonderful to be with one of my very best friends for a whole week! I was so lucky and had such a wonderful time! It makes me excited for our girls trip in April. It can't come soon enough.

Happy Birthday Corbin

Corbin had a birthday this past week and as a bonus he also was on vacation! It was wonderful! We stayed home and relaxed. Every year Corbin wants a pie instead of cake, so Landen and I made key lime pie....Corbin's favorite. It was delicious. Just ask Landen:)

Landen was so excited to show Corbin the pie and blow out the candles. He loves it!

Outback is a tradtion every year on Oct 11th. Just like Red Lobster is a tradition on Jan 22nd.

We did do something exciting this week. We went ziplining in the mountains. It was so much fun! I was a little nervous at first, but doing it with Corbin made me feel more confident. It's been a while since we were able to go do something together the whole day without Landen and it was WONDERFUL!

Yahoo!!

Look at those colors! The fall in North Carolina is breathtaking!

We had such a fun day and it was nice to just spend it with Corbin. I think he has had a good birthday week and I have to say, I enjoyed it too!

Beautiful Weather!

It's been perfect outside lately and I have a feeling it's only going to get better. We have had a great time playing outside on Landen's scooter. This face says it all. He loves to go fast! It's been so fun. I am so excited that Fall is right around the corner.

Feeding the Cows

My friend Kellie's family has a dairy farm not to far from where we live. She invited me and Landen to join them in feeding the calves yesterday. It was so much fun! I felt like a little kid again. Landen really loved it, but was a little unsure at first.

Then he started to get the hang of it! When those calves are hungry, they are hungry. They would drink the bottle in less then 5 minutes.

Yes.....I wanted a picture of me feeding the calf too:) I even got to milk a cow! That was definitely a first for me. I have a feeling we are going to want to go back again soon!
