BIRTHDAY WEEK!

This past Thursday (Jan 22n) was my 26th birthday and not only did I celebrate on that day, but I got to celebrate the ENTIRE week. It was soooooo great. I had homemade cinnimon rolls baked for me, I was sang to several times, a friend took me to Olive Garden, Corbin took me to Red Lobster (where I got my famous Lobster Pizza), I had ballons and cookies brought to my work, Corbin made me dinner and washed the dishes several times, played bunko with friends, and enjoyed every minute of being SPOILED. I think that was a great way to start a new year!! Thank you for all the birthday wishes and for all who made it soooo special.

My First Doctor's Appt

Well today was the day that I went to my first doctor's appt. I was so nervous, but very excited because today was the day I would see the baby! I think I was nervous because I was afraid the doctor was going to say "Your'e not pregnant Amy. It was all in your head." So he did an ultrasound and sure enough there is a baby growing inside of me. It was such a great experience to finally see our first baby! I have to admit...I did shed a couple of tears. So the doctor said I am 13 weeks and due July 15th. Let the count down begin:)

OU vs FLA

Thursday is a big night for Oklahoma and Florida fans. They are battling for the National title!! Who will it be?? I know living in Oklahoma I should cross over and support OU, but I'm sorry to say I will be cheering for Florida. Who do you think will win? We will find out on Thursday.

Happy New Year

Growing up in southern Florida there was always a tradition my family followed, along with many other southerners. On New Years Day we always had fresh collard greens my dad would pick from the garden, black eyed peas, cornbread and macaroni and cheese. Well the cornbread and macaroni & cheese have absolutely no meaning, but collard greens and black eyed peas do. By eating collard greens it means you will be blessed financially and the black eyed peas means you will have good health. So on this day I am going to eat my fill of collard greens and black eyed peas to carry on that tradition and start the new year out right. Happy 2009. Wow it's hard to believe!
