Myrtle Beach

Corbin had his first vacation week and we took advantage of the warm weather and went to Myrtle Beach. It was so wonderful! My favorite vacations are beach vacation and this one did not disappoint!

This is the view from our hotel. I love beach front rooms! It's worth every penny to me.

We had beautiful weather even if there was a hurricane coming directly for us! You sure couldn't tell. The one thing that gave it away that a storm was coming was the waves were pretty big. Corbin was impressed and that is hard to do. He boogie boarded and caught a few good waves. He loved it! I tried, but got pounded! I decided to just watch Corbin. :)

Corbin loves to built forts and try to keep the waves from tearing it down. If the fort is destroyed you build it again. It was fun to do it with Landen. As you can tell in the picture he is thrilled. Hahaha

Every time we came down to the beach Landen would say "Sand Castle." He loved filling the buckets up with sand and also filling his truck. He would push the truck up and down to the water. So cute to watch.

Finally a picture of Landen smiling!

Myrtle Beach was beautiful with a ton of things to do. Just down a few blocks from our hotel they had an amusement park and a water park, Ripley's Believe it or Not and 3 miniature golf courses. This is a picture of one of them! Pretty amazing.

We had a great trip at the beach....minus the 6.0 earthquake that we felt while we were in our room on the 15th floor! We move from Oklahoma where we have tornado's to North Carolina where there are hurricanes and earthquakes! Great!

On our trip back home we stopped and met up with friends for some good TCBY ice-cream. You think Landen liked it? His first taste of ice-cream and I think it was a hit!

TIM MCGRAW

You read the title correct....we got to see Tim McGraw in concert! It was fantastic!! I saw that he was coming to Oklahoma in July and I was so disappointed that I would be missing him. So I checked to see if he was going to come to Charlotte and sure enough he was! I bought tickets months ago and we got to go last week. I was on cloud nine! It was an outside concert and the weather was perfect. Corbin was actually cold and had to put on a jacket. I couldn't have asked for a better night!

Hickory Dickory Dock

Since we have been in North Carolina we have explored some and have found some fun spots. Hickory Dickory Dock is one of those places and it only cost $2 to get in! (And Corbin and I are free) Landen has a blast every time! He loves the bounce house and can run around in there forever crashing, bumping and falling over. He is constantly laughing! Especially when dad is chasing him!

Getting some practice on the motorcycles. He is at a great age because he is satisfied just watching the demo! He thinks he is actually doing it.

This is the fantastic golf course! Isn't it awesome???!!! LOL!!! The best I've ever seen:)

I think we will be coming back again and again!

North Carolina

We are adjusting to life in North Carolina. It's been hard, but we are starting to fit in real nicely. Here are a few of my favorite things I have seen thus far: This is what I see when I drive into our neigborhood. I love it!

Tractor crossing sign. Very important sign to have apparently.

There are vines and vines everywhere covering all these trees! It really is incredible. The picture doesn't do it justice, but thought I would share it anyway.

This is our backyard and we always have ducks eating bugs and our grass. One day I counted 41 ducks! We tried feeding them, but I guess they aren't used to people feeding them and ran the other direction. Landen loves to watch for them.

Yesterday we took Landen to his first parade. It was called a "Solider Parade." There were all kinds of big trucks, bands and soldiers marching while shooting some of their guns. Landen LOVED it!! He got so excited when he saw the firetrucks and these golf carts that were turned into alligators. It was really fun! Next week we are going to explore Myrtle Beach since Corbin has his first week of vacation! I can't wait for Corbin to have some time off. It will be great!
