P.J's

I've always wanted a matching pair of pajamas. I don't know why. I usually wear pants with tee shirts, but never had an actual set that went together. So I recently ordered the ones below and got them the other day and I absolutely love them! If only I looked like this when I wore them:)

Utah trip

As I prepare to blog about our vacation...I realize I don't have many pictures...especially of our host and hostess. We really enjoyed being in Utah with family and seeing the snow and mountains. I always forget how beatiful it is there in the winter. It wasn't even that cold! It was perfect weather while we were there. All the grandkids with Grammy

Beautiful snow!

It's hard being apart from family. Especially living here in Oklahoma because we have zero family here. I envy those who can drive two miles to see their mom, sister or in laws. We have really had to lean on our friends to fill in those gaps and in their own way have become like family. Oh how I wish that our families could live in a 5 mile radius. I say that, but we may get sick of eachother:)
This trip was so fun, but it was also hard. I had a sick little boy with us who just couldn't seem to shake it. It's been 3 weeks now and I took him back to the doctor today. His doctor said he has an ear infection and needs antibiotics. Poor guy. He has been such a trooper, but it seems like his mommy hasn't. I was getting so frustrated that he was waking up at 4am and not going back to sleep! Now I feel so guilty for letting him cry because I know there was a true reason and he needed me. Hopefully he will start to feel better soon and be his old self again.
It was nice to have a break from real life, sometimes that's necessary to recharge your batteries. Until the next trip...and hopefully I won't have a sick baby!

Happy Birthday to me!

Every year in the Harline family we get to celebrate birthdays for a whole week! It's wonderful. The week of my birthday was great! I had friends take me to dinner, we watched "The Bachelor" (my favorite), Corbin took me to Red Lobster, so I could have my Lobster Pizza, and on my birthday we flew to Utah to spend the week with some of my favorite people....Corbin's family and my sister! Corbin's sister Brittanny made me this AMAZING yellow cake with chocolate icing with shaved chocolate on top. Oh my....that has been the cake I request every year since I was a little girl. It was really delicious. She also decorated the house with glass cupcakes and a Happy Birthday banner. I felt so special and loved. That night we went to a place called "The Junction" that had indoor surfing, rock climbing, arcades and indoor skydiving. I've always wanted to do this, so since it was my birthday I got a really good discount and they gave me a video of my "flight." It was a cool experience. I don't know how people really skydive. I would be so scared! This was perfect.

It was a great birthday week! More pictures and updates to come on our Utah vacation!

Question....

While we were visiting in Dallas, we stayed with some friends that we have know since we moved to Oklahoma, which means they knew us before we had Landen. Well one morning while we were eating breakfast our friend Tim said to me, "Amy...since you had Landen...do you know what's different about you??" Oh no...where could this conversation possibly be going? I tried to guess. "I wear my hair up more often?" "I'm more patient??" "I have those motherly insticts?" All wrong. Tim said "You look more tired." Hmmmmmmmmm
