Colorado

I can't even remember how long Corbin and I have talked about going and visiting Colorado Springs. We finally did it and loved every second there! We drove from Oklahoma City through Kansas over to Colorado. I was so nervous driving with Landen, but he was AMAZING!! I couldn't ask for a better child.

We went to Garden of the Gods. It was beautiful. It had these amazing red rock formations that covered miles in the mountains.

We also went to Pikes Peak. I'll be honest....I was really really scared! We couldn't even make it to the top. I know...I'm pretty lame, but we almost got to the top:) At the top the estimated degrees was 20 with a wind chill of 6 degrees. Crazy!

We also got to see the Air Force Academy. We met up with Corbin's uncle and he was a great tour guide.

Beautiful waterfalls

Everywhere we looked it was pure beauty! There were pine trees everywhere and the air smelled delicious.

And to make the trip perfect, we found Bubba Gumps. It's one of our favorites and we have only seen them in Hawaii and Santa Monica. I guess we really could live in Colorado now that we know Bubba Gumps is here!

Collective Soul

I can finally say I have been to more than one concert in my life! Last night Corbin and I went to see Collective Soul with some friends and it was so awesome! They played some of their best music! It was so loud...our ears started ringing, lucky for us, Corbin had some tissue in his pocket and we stuffed it in our ears. It was much better!

There are so many concerts coming to Oklahoma this summer! I'm so excited! It's going to be a good summer!

Tornado Season

It's that time again, TORNADOS, and I am not looking forward to it. I love a good thunderstorm, but not when there are tornados involved. This year I feel especially nervous because we have Landen. I want to protect him from everything and mother nature can be pretty scary at times.

Today we had our first tornado of the season. I absolutely hate it and to make it worse, Corbin was at work. It was just me and Landen huddled in our tornado shelter. (AKA Our coat closet) :) Thank goodness it passed us without any damage. Not looking forward to the others that will make our way to us in the next couple of months.

On the Move

It's official....Landen is moving around the house at full speed ahead! It's so cute to watch him try to get from one part of the house to the other. He's pulling up on things and walking along the furniture and wanting to be more independent. He has been trying so hard, soon he will be walking and I'll be saying to myself "Where did this last year go?"
