Thumbsucker....

Landen found his thumb at four months and loved it ever since. Recently I noticed that he was sucking his thumb pretty much all the time. Walking around the house, watching t.v, when he was outside, in the car, at the store......all the time!! I decided it was time to try to break him of this habit. Many people said that younger the better. So last week every time I saw him start to put his thumb in his mouth I would say "No thumb" and he immediately took it out. I would give him a toy to put in that hand to keep distracted. The first day I had to tell him a lot to take his thumb out of his mouth, but by the next day when he started to do it, I turned to look at him and he instantly stopped. Could it really be this easy?? Yes! It was...it's as if he doesn't even remember that he has a thumb anymore! Nap time and bedtime I haven't attempted to master yet. I don't mind if he sucks his thumb when he is going to bed. Right now I am very proud that I no longer see a little boy with his thumb in his mouth all day long.

For Sale

Last week we put our house up for sale! I can't believe it! We are trying to sale our house ourselves first and if it doesn't sale we are going to interview different real estate agents to do it for us. We figure we have plenty of time. At first I was a little nervous about doing it ourselves, but we already got three calls and two people are coming by today to look at it. I am feeling sad about selling this house because this has been our first house that Corbin and I bought together and the house we started a family in. I guess I'm just a sentimental girl with a hard time saying good bye to all the wonderful memories made in this home. Soon it will be time to make some new memories in North Caroline and I'm excited for the adventure.
